New Years Year Plans

As we stare into the reflection of the baubel as it goes back into the box for another year, let’s be brutally honest. Most New Years resolutions are going to go to waste and be forgotten within the first seven days, and it’s been like that for some time. There’s just no point making them in my opinion, but it’s all because people don’t plan their changes out. It’s all well and good at 00:01 1st January 2016 saying ‘I’m going to be a better person this year’ or ‘I’ll lose weight this year’ if you have no idea how to achieve that goal, because all it’ll be is an empty promise to yourself that may be witnessed by others.

The trick is to make New Years Year Plans, not resolutions.

You want to lose weight? Analyse your diet before the 1st so that when it arrives, you can make the promise to yourself to make the necessary changes in order to meet your resolution.

You want to become a better person? Ask around and find out what people think you could improve on, or just sit and be honest with yourself in order to find out the not-so-desirable traits of your personality. We all have them, since no one is perfect, so if you’re drawing a blank then you’re definitely doing it wrong. Of course, when you do find out those issues, you’ve got to find a way to tackle them.

Easier said than done.

The main thing as I mentioned it planning. Nothing good comes from empty words and ideas with no plan, and that goes for everything.

Even New Years resolutions.

At least I’ve actually planned mine this year. Maybe I can make a second plan to stop being so hypocritical too(?).

At the end of the day, when all’s said and done, more’s said then done!
